Grant agreements are usually written to protect the funder. Ours are written to be read.
What we commit to
Money arrives on the date stated. Reporting is one page and four numbers. We do not ask for a new logo on anything. We do not require attendance at donor events.
What we ask for
A baseline before the work starts, the same numbers at the end, and a straight answer when something goes wrong. A failed pilot reported honestly is more useful to us than a successful one reported vaguely.
What we will not do
We will not fund work we cannot measure, we will not restrict a grant so tightly that the recipient cannot pay rent with it, and we will not take credit for outcomes produced by someone else's staff.
