Full tuition, a laptop, a stipend, and a working mentor for students who earned their place and cannot afford to keep it.
Oribamise Scholars pays the full cost of a university or technical education for students who have already proven they can do the work. The award covers tuition, accommodation, a monthly stipend, a laptop, and data. It runs for the length of the degree rather than a single year, because a scholarship that expires halfway is not a scholarship.
Every scholar is matched with a working professional in their field for the duration of the award. The mentor is expected to show up monthly and to open doors, not to give speeches.
How it works
Applications open twice a year. Shortlisted candidates sit a subject assessment and a structured interview with two panelists. Awards are paid directly to the institution, never in cash to a third party. Scholars report once a term on grades, on what is working, and on what is not.
Who qualifies
Open to applicants in every country the foundation currently funds, admitted to an accredited university or technical institute, with a household income that makes the fees genuinely out of reach. Applicants in engineering, computing, agriculture, and the health sciences are prioritized. Disabled and neurodivergent applicants are assessed on the same academic standard, with the cost of any support they need carried by the award rather than counted against them.
